Wrapping Up Chocolates

How to Make Chocolates

Hi Everyone!!!  Have you started to think about what you are going to get for that special someone this Valentine's Day?  If you are not sure yet, don't worry.  I think that I can help you with that.  I am going to make chocolates for my friends and family.  Chocolates are an easy and delicious gift.  You will need 1 bag of any flavor of melting chocolate, chocolate molds, a spoon, sticks, and candy making gloves.

First, you will need to open the bag of chocolate, and pour about 1/2 of the chocolate into a glass measuring cup or microwavable bowl.  Place the cup or bowl of chocolate into the microwave for about 30 seconds.  Stir the chocolate and and repeat until fully melted.

Next, pour the melted chocolate into the mold.  Fill each mold about 4/5 full.  If you would like suckers, place the sticks horizontally into the chocolate.  Place the chocolate filled molds into the freezer for about 10-15 minutes.

Finally, take the chocolate out of the freezer, once it is solid.  Put on the special candy making gloves to prevent finger prints from getting on the chocolates.  Bend the plastic mold to pop the chocolates out of the molds.  Put the chocolate in an airtight container and store in a cool dry place.  Enjoy!

Side Note:

Depending on how many chocolates you would like, you may need to use more than one bag and repeat the steps.  You can use colored white chocolate like red or pink, or you can also use milk or dark chocolate.  Dark chocolate is my favorite!
